Research engineer in image processing
Welcome! My name is Vincent Morard and I obtained my master degree in the french engineering school CPE Lyon in 2008. I am currently a PhD student in third year in the Center of Mathematical Morphology in France (Mines ParisTech). I am working under the supervision of Dr. Etienne Decencière and Dr. Petr Dokladal. My research interests include mathematical morphology, noise reduction and the extraction of thin structures from an image. I also associate machine-learning strategies with images processing (supervised and unsupervised learning). Some of my works could be found here .
14 to 16 december 2011, international conference on Signal and Image Processing (SIP 2011) at Dallas, USA. I have presented my work on adaptive morphology. Region growing structuring elements and new operators based on their shape.
November 2011, Publication of the paper TEM image analysis and modeling: application to bohemite nanoparticles. This paper is cowritten with M. Moreaud, D. jeulin, and R. Revel.
6 to 8 july 2011, International Symposium on Mathematical Morphology (ISMM 2011) at Intra, Italia. I have presented my work on attribute thinnings. Geodesic attributes thinnings and thickenings.
23 to 27 may 2011, International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2011) at Prague, Czech Republic. I have presented my work on linear opening. Linear openings in arbitrary orientation in O (1) per pixel
